The cost question
The short answer is AED 249 to 3,999, and which end of that range your car lands on depends on exactly three things. Here they are.
How much does car detailing cost in Dubai?
Between AED 249 and AED 3,999. A doorstep wash sits at the bottom, a proper full detail runs from AED 999, ceramic coating from AED 1,999, and paint protection film from AED 3,999. The honest average cost Dubai-wide for a first full detail on a normal sedan is around the AED 999 mark. Three things decide your exact number: the size of the car, the condition of the paint and cabin, and how much protection you add at the end.
| What you book | What it costs |
|---|---|
| Doorstep wash | from AED 249 |
| Interior deep clean | from AED 549 |
| Full detail, inside and out | from AED 999 |
| Ceramic coating, incl. polish | from AED 1,999 |
| Paint protection film | from AED 3,999 |
The complete menu with every add-on is on the price list. The table above is the shape of the market done properly: mobile service, machine work included where the package needs it, and no surprise line items at the end.
From AED 999 with us, and the why is the hours. A genuine full detail is most of a working day: decontamination wash, clay bar, machine polish, then the interior stripped back seat by seat. Ads promising a full detail for AED 300 are describing a long wash. Nothing about that price fits a day of skilled labour plus professional products, and the result shows it within a week.
Because they are paint work, not cleaning. A ceramic coating includes full correction before the coating cures, so you are paying for two skilled stages. Film is a materials-plus-fitting job priced per zone of the car. Both exist for the same local reason: this climate is brutal on paint. Extreme UV for most of the year, per the UAE weather service, plus fine dust that turns every dry wipe into sandpaper. Protection costs more upfront and less than a respray later.
From AED 549 for a deep clean that actually extracts, rather than wipes. Add fixed-price extras only where your car needs them: pet hair removal at AED 99, ozone odour treatment at AED 149 for a cabin that smells of smoke or takeaway, leather cleaning and conditioning at AED 199. A family SUV after a school year usually lands between AED 549 and 800 all-in.
Size first. Every stage of a detail scales with surface area, so the step from compact sedan to full-size SUV moves the price more than any other single fact about the car. Condition second. A cabin that gets attention twice a year cleans faster than one meeting a detailer for the first time, and paint with three summers of swirls needs correction hours a maintained car does not. Ambition third. The same car can book an AED 249 wash or an AED 1,999 coating; what you want the car to look like in six months is the part only you can answer. Notice what is not on the list: your neighbourhood, the day of the week, and how nice the car is. None of those change our number.
The two-year-old sedan, city driven: paint has light swirls, cabin is lived-in. A Full Detail at AED 999 resets both; nothing else needed. The family SUV after summer: sand in every seam, juice in the seats, a smell nobody claims. Deep Cleaning from AED 549 plus ozone treatment at AED 149 lands around AED 700 to 850 depending on size. The new car, first month: minimal correction needed, which makes it the cheapest moment for protection: ceramic coating at the low end of its from AED 1,999 range, or film on the front if the commute is motorway. Three different cars, three different right answers, and none of them is the most expensive thing on the menu.
The counter-question worth asking. Oxidised clear coat that could have been polished at AED 799 becomes a respray quote measured in thousands per panel. Water etching left for a year stops being removable at all. Inside, a cabin that never gets extracted holds its smells into resale day, and dealers price that in without mentioning it. Detailing is maintenance with a visible result; the invisible part is the repair bills that never happen.
Twice. First, when swirled paint bothers you: one correct polish beats three budget glaze jobs that hide swirls for a fortnight. Second, when you are keeping the car: coating or film turns every later wash into a cheaper, faster job and holds resale condition. If you are returning a lease next quarter, skip protection and book the AED 999 detail before the inspection instead. That is the whole decision.
From AED 1,999 when the correction is included, and that condition is the whole answer. A coating locks in whatever surface it cures over, so the machine polish underneath it is not optional, it is most of the labour. Quotes far below that number usually mean the polish has been skipped and the coating is going straight onto swirled paint, which seals the swirls in permanently. When you compare coating quotes, ask one question: how many correction stages are included before the coating goes on? The answer sorts the market faster than any price list.
Four honest levers. Keep a rhythm, because a maintained car sits at the bottom of every package's range while a neglected one climbs it. Book deep work before the post-summer rush instead of during it, when everyone wants the same rescue at once. Send accurate photos with the first message, since a quote priced on the real condition never needs revisiting at the car. And stack the add-ons your car actually needs into one visit rather than spreading them across three bookings, one setup, one slot, everything done together. None of these tricks involve accepting worse work, which is the difference between paying less and getting less.
Cost questions
Doorstep hand washes start at AED 249 with us. Petrol-station machine washes are cheaper but use brushes, which is exactly what puts swirl marks into paint.
Yes. A seven-seater has roughly half again the surface and cabin area of a compact sedan, and every stage of a detail scales with that. It is the first thing we ask on WhatsApp.
Not with us. The van carries its own water and power, and you pay the same from-prices anywhere in Dubai. What you save is the two trips and the waiting room.
Once or twice a year for most cars, with washes in between. A coated car usually stretches the interval further because the paint stays cleaner between visits.
No. Send the model and a photo on WhatsApp and the exact price comes back free, seven days a week from 9am to 10pm.
Ours do not, but demand does. Post-summer months book out fastest because everyone's car needs the same rescue at once, so the practical saving is booking the deep work before September rather than during it.
They can sit higher in a package's range, because condition is one of the three cost drivers. You will know before booking, not after: the photos you send are what the fixed quote is based on.
Model plus photo equals a fixed price on WhatsApp. No visit needed to get the number.
