How does a mobile car wash work? From WhatsApp message to clean car

The part people doubt is the logistics: where the water comes from, whether a socket is needed, and what happens in a basement. This page follows one booking from the first message to the finished car, so you can see what is asked of you at each step.

What do you actually have to do to book?

You send one WhatsApp message with your area, the type of car and the service you want. A photo of where the car is parked helps, especially for a tower basement or a gated villa street, because it lets us plan the approach before anyone drives over.

The reply comes back with a time and the price in writing. We work seven days a week from 9am to 10pm, so the slot can be early morning, evening or somewhere in between. There is no app to download and no account to create.

What happens when the van arrives?

The technician parks as close to the car as the building allows and messages you that they are there. You do not have to be present. Many customers leave the car in a villa driveway or an office bay and carry on with their day, and the wash is done by the time they come back.

What is inside a mobile car wash van?

Everything the job needs, which is why you never lend a hose or a socket. The van carries its own water and its own power, plus snow foam, pH-neutral shampoo, separate wash and rinse buckets, wheel brushes, microfibre towels and a vacuum.

That list matters more than it looks. A car washed with a shared sponge and one bucket of grey water gets scratched by the grit it has just lifted. Separate buckets and clean microfibre are what keep a hand wash from adding swirl marks, and they travel in the van every time.

How does a car wash work on the spot?

The order is the same each visit. Snow foam goes on first and loosens the dust and sand sitting on the paint. It is rinsed off before a mitt touches the car, so nothing is dragged across the surface.

Then the hand wash, roof first and panel by panel. Wheels and tyres get their own brushes, since brake dust is the one thing you do not want near the paintwork. Dubai heat shapes the timing. Soap dries fast on a hot panel, so a car in open sun is better washed early or late. If it is parked in the shade or a basement, any slot works.

What does the handover look like?

You get a message that the car is finished, with the last photo of it if you were not there. Nothing is collected at the door. Payment follows the quote you agreed in writing, and the number does not change on the day.

If you want more than a wash, it is added to the same visit rather than booked as a second one. An engine bay clean is AED 149, ozone odour removal is AED 149 and pet hair removal is AED 99, each confirmed in the same written quote.

Mobile car wash pricing against a station

The comparison is not one-to-one, because a station charges for the wash and you pay in time on top: the drive, the queue and the wait. A mobile wash puts that hour back in your day.
