How long does a premium car wash take? About an hour at your door

An hour sounds long next to a five-minute machine wash. It is the same hour you would otherwise spend driving to a car wash, queueing and driving back, except the car does not leave your building. Below is what happens in it, so you can plan around it.

What happens in the hour, in order

The order is fixed, because each step protects the next. Snow foam goes on first and loosens the dust and grit sitting on the paint, so nothing is dragged across it. The foam is rinsed off before a mitt touches the car.

Then comes the hand wash itself, with the two-bucket method and pH-neutral shampoo, panel by panel and roof first. Wheels and tyres get their own brushes and their own bucket, since brake dust is the one thing you do not want near the paintwork. The car is dried with clean microfibre and the glass is finished streak-free.

Inside, the vacuum runs through the cabin and boot, and the plastics and touchpoints are wiped down. The wash itself is the long part. The vacuum and the finish are the short part, which is why a careful wash cannot be hurried into twenty minutes without dropping a step.

How long does a premium car wash take on an SUV?

Three things move the time. Size is the plain one: a seven-seater has far more roof, glass and carpet than a compact. Condition is the second. A car that has gone three weeks in Dubai dust, or came back from the desert, needs more foam time and more rinsing than one washed last Thursday.

Do you have to stay with the car?

No. The van carries its own water, power and equipment, so the car can stay in a villa driveway, an office bay or an apartment tower's parking. You do not need to lend a hose or a socket, and you can be in a meeting or on a call while the work happens.

Which time of day suits a wash?

Early morning and the evening are the easy slots in Dubai. Soap and water dry fast on a hot panel, so shade or a cooler hour gives the technician more working time per panel and fewer water marks to chase. Midday in summer is the one slot we steer you away from if the car is parked in the open.

Does adding something else change the visit length?

Yes, and it is added to the same visit rather than booked as a second one. An engine bay clean is AED 149 and ozone odour removal is AED 149, and each extends the time by its own length, which we give you in writing with the price.
